Boho Bride

Hello Everyone
...
Another card using the gorgeous Bride Speciality Designer Paper. This time I used a brayer and Regal Rose ink and the swirls resist the ink to create this lovely background effect.
...
I used the Boho Blossoms punch and the One of a Kind stamp set, which go together so you can punch out the stamped flowers with ease.

The sentiment is mounted on a mat of Rose Red cardstock and a knotted piece of silver elastic is wound around to finish the card.

Masked Butterflies

Hello everyone
...

Today card is one I have demonstrated at workshops - and if I say so myself, everyone loved it!It is done using the masking technique, ( a post it note over the previous butterfly means you can have them overlapping).
...
All the stamps used come from the Touch of Nature stamp set from Stampin' Up! The final butterfly was stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink and coloured using Yoyo Yellow and Gable Green markers.
...

Once all the stamping was done, I used the two way glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds to the pale plum butterfly.

Greenhouse Garden Buckle Card

Hello Everyone
...
Today I am sharing a card that I made at my first ever meeting with Amanda, my upline. She gave us such a great project and I fell in love with Greenhouse Garden and decided I had to have it there and then!
...
It also features the Bride speciality paper - as it comes in white on the back and coloured using a dauber on the 'buckle'.

...
...
Now I would like to teach this in a class - but I am going to have to figure out how we made it as it was almost a year ago that I made this one. LOL
...
Hope you like it

July Class Projects - Choice 2

Hello Everyone
...

To anyone who hasn't seen the previous post - I offered a choice of projects at this months classes and this is number two!

...
It features the sweet little animals from the Fox & Friends stamp set. We started with the same box, decorated using the Very Vintage wheel and then made it look so different with the little brown owl!

The cards could feature whichever of the animals the ladies wanted - these are the ones I chose for my samples. The background on these cards is done with the Sweet Stitches wheel and once again these cards are super-fast to make.
...

...
So come one - which would you have chosen? The funky monkey ones or the subtle sketches on the previous post?

July Class Projects - Choice 1

Hello Everyone
...

At my classes I try to do something to suit everyone - from trendy to traditional - and this month I went one step further and decided to let everyone choose which project they wanted to make.
...
The whole idea behind this project was inspired by Michelle who goes to my Twyford craft class. She said that often she needs a card REALLY fast and doesn't have time to sit down and create something complex. I decided to make a little box of cards - firstly so that she has 3 on hand - secondly to show how fast they can be to make.
...
So first the box - this is a 'pizza box' style with a lifting lid and fits 4" square cards and envelopes inside.
...
This design is 'choice 1' - a shabby chic/vintage look using the Very Vintage wheel and the beautiful Studio Sketches hostess set.
...
Now a second thank you - these cards were inspired by Jan who comes to my Rownhams daytime class. She did some similar designs and I loved how they came out.

...

...
As you can see I did a tiny tag on the ribbon closure and the whole project is done using just one ink colour - Mellow Moss. Now this is my favourite green and it is retiring soon - so get your supplies in girls before it is gone!
...
Now for the cards....

Fast and fabulous! Also using the same stamp set - you can literally make one with a matching envelope in two minutes.
...
So thank you Jan and Michelle for inspiring this class - and for choice 2 - pop back in a couple of days and all will be revealed right here!

Dream with Me!

Hello Everyone

...
A while ago I got this beautiful stamp set called Live Your Dream. I don't know why it had taken me so long to get it. My favourite saying is 'If you can dream it - you can do it', (a Walt Disney quote) - and this stamp set makes my cardmaking dreams come true! :)
...
It works perfectly with the markers using the markers direct to stamp technique.
...
Here I created the card in Rose Red cardstock, stamped using the So Swirly wheel in versamark ink to get a tone on tone effect.
...

...

I used the eyelet border punch to create a border in Sage Shadow cardstock to match the ink on the stem of the flower - love how you can co-ordinate so easily with Stampin' Up!

...

Finally I did a little paper piercing on the corner using the mat and template - because I never know when to stop! LOL

...

Let me know what you think!

Summer Sailing

Hello Everyone
...
I take no credit for todays post. I photographed it on my upline Amanda's show and tell table! I would love to give credit to it's creator - but there was no name on it. So if this was you - just tell me and I will add your name to this post.
...
UPDATE #2: So Zoe left me a message to say this card is her work. Click on comments and you can go a visit her blog - it is great
...
Thank you Zoe - love what you did here.
...
This card attracted me because it features a stamp set from Stampin' Up! that I don't own - yes there are a few! LOL
...

...

The stamp set is called Life's a Breeze and is full of summery images like these. I had always thought this was more of a scrapbooking stamp set - and I do think it would make fabulous beach layouts - but it obviously makes great cards too!

Bloomin' Step Card!

Hello Everyone
...
On my last post I showed a simple card using the Bloomin' with Beauty stamp set. Here is another card but a totally different design.
...
This is one of the cards we are making at my July classes. The steps in the card create an easel effect which looks lovely.
...

...

I used different elements from the stamp set - the pot of flowers, bee & bloom sentiment - on different steps of the card.

...
I wanted a ribbon to match so used a technique I learned from Hayley recently. You can colour ribbon using a dauber and the Stampin' Pastels. Just apply your chalk and build up to the intensity of colour you require. Of course you can do this with ink, but then it needs to dry before you can use it to prevent colour transfer - but with pastels you can colour and go!

...

...

This makes such a great project to make in a class. I am hoping everyone will enjoy creating it as much as I did!

Bloomin' and Paper Piercing

Hello Everyone
...
I created this card for a workshop earlier this year. My lovely hostess had especially requested a project using aqua painters and the piercing mat and tool - so this is what I came up with.
...
I started with a card in Always Artichoke and a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, with the corners rounded with the corner punch.
...
I used the Bloomin' with Beauty stamp set and stamped the flower image using the marker direct to stamp technique. Then I used the aqua painter and a little ink to add colour to the flower. I stamped the sentiment in Always Artichoke ink for a subtle effect.
...
Next I used the piercing tool and mat to create the pattern on the Vanilla cardstock, then wrapped the gingham ribbon around the top - securing with glue dots.

...
This card works in so many colourways - but this one is my favourite.
...
Hope you like.

Amanda's Design

Hello Everyone
...
Today's card was designed by my lovely upline Amanda - and made by me! I love these colours and some are retiring - so get stocked up while you can!
...
This card starts with the En Francais background stamp, which is stamped off once and then stamped on the whisper white cardstock, which makes a subtle and beautiful background.
...
Next I used images from Baroque Motifs - beautiful swirls and flowers.

...

The card is finished with a punched oval greeting, (stamp set is Oval All) and a strip of ribbon.

...

This card is SO fast to put together - and I love the design. Hope you do too.
